






About Brandon D. Washington
Brandon Washington is a native of Garland, Texas. During his school years he was selected to the GISD Talented and Gifted Program in the area of art. He attended South Garland High School where he played basketball and served as a student coach for the South Garland Varsity Basketball Team. He received a Golden Rule Award from his high school and performed with the Mixed Choir. After High School he attended Texarkana College where he was named to the Dean’s List. He studied Art and Graphic Design and performed with the TC Singers. After transferring to Texas A&M University Commerce he received a Bachelor Degree in Design Communications.

Brandon’s career began with the position of Signing Supervisor for Target Corporation. He also served in Management as a Department Team Leader. He received several Performance Awards and was selected as Vibe Team Hero of the Month. As a Framing Specialist for Michael’s he led in sales and production for numerous years. Brandon also was a Desktop Publisher for Copy Max where he used his graphic design skills in print publishing. Brandon has worked as a Marketing Specialist for Habitat for Humanity through managing the website, print production, photo editing using Lightroom and Photoshop, video production promoting homes, displays, marketing, trade shows, family biographies, and photography. Currently, Brandon is an experienced professional with vast experience producing photography/video and digital communications for Texas A&M University-Commerce. His photography and videos have been featured on NBC5 news, KTVT11, WFAA channel 8, and internationally with Telemundo. He has been involved with graphic design, print production, event planning, videography, interviewing future homeowners, and promoting the Habitat ReStores & the Habitat mission through social media and email marketing. In 2020, Brandon was selected for the award of Most Christlike by the Habitat for Humanity of Collin County staff.

Brandon is actively involved in the community with such organizations as Young Professionals Division of CAAPCO and Harmony Community Development Corporation. He served as Public Relations Officer for Literary Legends Toastmasters, where he produced newsletters and T-shirts for the organization. Brandon is a leader at the Concord Church in Dallas where he serves as a Deacon, assisting the pastor with congregational care. He has also served as a Bible Study Leader and sings in the Young Adult Choir.
